Ökombi plans to establish a new ROLA relation in 2011

Operator of rolling roads Ökombi posts stable volume for the first three months of the year 2011

 

The Ökombi headquarters in Vienna-Erdberg are preparing to establish a new ROLA relation along the Danube corridor. The management confirms the plans about the establishment of a rolling road from/to Regensburg/Wels ex Budapest BILK terminal in a press release. The enterprise is operating seven national and international ROLA relations with 72 trains per day.

In the period from January to March 2011 the rolling roads of Ökombi were used by 84,334 trucks. This means the company reached last year’s level.

On the Brenner corridor 58,792 trucks were transported, which is 2.9 per cent less than in the same period last year. The Danube/Pyhrn/Tauern corridor, which is mainly used by Turkish transporters, showed a rise of 7.2 per cent to 25,497 trucks. In the business year 2010 Ökombi moved 345,541 trucks with 20,840 ROLA block trains.
