Dhaka is the new freight-only destination of Lufthansa Cargo
Lufthansa Cargo’s operates the first flight of its freight-only service between Frankfurt and Dhaka in Bangladesh
Lufthansa Cargo is expanding its route network in southern Asia by offering its customers first regular flights to Bangladesh. With immediate effect a flight to Dhaka will be operated with an MD-11 freighter that will take off in Frankfurt on Wednesdays at 01.40 am., with a stopover in Mumbai at 7.10 pm. local time. The return flight from Dhaka leaves on Wednesdays at 10.15 pm. and is scheduled to land in Frankfurt at 6 am. on Thursdays after a brief stop in Delhi. “Bangladesh has assumed growing importance as a production base for the international fashion industry. Our direct flights to and from Dhaka will shorten the transport time for customers and link them into Lufthansa Cargo’s global network,“ noted Carsten Hernig, Regional Director South Asia and Middle East of the airline.
