abs bonifer takes over fuel distribution for OMV in eastern Austria

The mineral oil transport company abs bonifer received a new large-scale order in Austria. As of 1 January 2010 the enterprise distributes fuel to petrol stations and commercial clients on behalf of the OMV Group. The delivery service covers the Austrian provinces Vienna, Lower Austria, Burgenland and parts of Styria, with around 180 petrol stations in total.

To serve the new key customer abs bonifer acquired 16 modern fuel transport vehicles. Twelve units are stationed at the location in Vienna. Four units will operate from the station in Graz. Managing Director Andreas Bonifer gives the total investment with around EUR 3 million. The abs bonifer fleet in Austria comprises around 60 trucks in total.

The name abs bonifer stands for a German private company that specialises in transportation of mineral oil, bitumen and gas. Around 1,400 employees at more than 30 locations in Germany, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Slovenia dispose a fleet of about 500 units. The annual turnover of 2009 amounts to around EUR 125 million, as Managing Director Andreas Bonifer indicates in the interview with the Österreichische Verkehrszeitung (Austrian Transport Magazine).
