Schnellecke Group wins first major order from Audi AG

Car manufacturer Audi to use services and logistic know-how of Schnellecke Group in Ingolstadt for the first time
 
The Schnellecke Group is to take care about a major order from Audi AG for the first time in its company history. They took over the management of a logistics warehouse and the supply of an order-picking centre in Ingolstadt, Bavaria/Germany, the management announces in a press release. In total 70 employees, working in three shifts, are operating on a hall area of more than 18,000 m² and an open area of about 13,500 m². They handle tasks in the segments loading and unloading, stock-keeping, repacking and JIT-transport. In the goods receipt more than 100 trucks are unloaded per day, and 2,400 large charge carriers are handled.
 
The Schnellecke Group based in Wolfsburg is one of the leading internationally operating logistics service providers and suppliers of the automotive industry. The company claims to contribute to their customers’ economic success through developing and implementing customised logistic solutions and optimised value-added chains. Based on this model their more than 16,000 employees around the world generated sales of EUR 744 million in the year 2011.
