Panalpina launches three new Intra Asia LCL services

Panalpina has announced the launch of three direct Less than Container Load (LCL) services through its in-house carrier Pantainer Express Line.

The new, guaranteed weekly services are connected to the Asian key hub in Singapore. They are Singapore inbound from Haiphong (Vietnam), Phnom Penh (Cambodia) and Cebu (Philippines).

With transit times between three days from Phnom Penh, six days from Haiphong and nine days from Cebu, Panalpina can offer a reliable alternative to existing Full Container Load (FCL) and air freight services in these trades.

The new LCL services are part of Panalpina’s long term strategy to grow business on key Asia trade lanes, especially on the Far East Westbound, Transpacific Eastbound, Intra Asia, Asia to Latin America and Asia to Middle East trade. "Intra Asia plays a pivotal role in our global LCL network and in the Group’s growth strategy. We are constantly adding new services through our in-house carrier Pantainer Express Line in this fast growing market to simplify and extend access for our customers", said Carsten Meyer, Global Head of Ocean Freight LCL at Panalpina.

Singapore’s strategic location in Southeast Asia makes it a popular port of call in the global shipping routes. For connecting Asia to the rest of the world, Singapore is Panalpina’s most important hub. It is also one of the key oil and gas hubs along with Houston in the US, Aberdeen in Scotland and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
