Panopa Logistik GmbH takes over large-scale contract

Swiss Ammann group entrusts Panopa with worldwide spare parts logistics for its compactors

 

These days Panopa Logistik GmbH landed a large-scale order from the building industry. The swiss Ammann group, one of the leading manufacturers of building machinery, selected the logistician as a partner for its spare parts logistics in the business segment of compactors. The annual volume comprises around 50,000 consignments and about 100,000 delivery points. The central supply of locations, retailers and building companies is effected from the Panopa logistics centre in Dortmund.

Panopa will centralise the spare parts logistics of the Swiss supplier of the construction industry that was so far divided to locations in Germany, the Czech Republic, Italy and Switzerland until December. Around 3,000 m² will be available for storage, order-picking and packaging of components for rammers, drum-compactors, vibratory plates and add-on compactors.

Panopa Logistik GmbH, headquartered in Duisburg, offers customer-oriented logistics services along the supply chain. The spectrum ranges from procurement logistics and warehouse management to sequencing, preliminary assembly, production supply, spare parts logistics and worldwide organization of shipments right through to managing fleets of vehicles. The contract logistics provider is specialized in the automotive, steel, mechanical engineering and engineering contracting industry as well as transport management sectors. Panopa is a 100 percent subsidiary of the international corporation Imperial Logistics International GmbH and earns annual sales of around EUR 200 million with 2,000 employees at 35 locations in Europe.
