Parcel logistics division of Austrian Post AG was well situated at business clients in 2010
The year 2010 ran smoothly for the parcel logistics division of Austria’s Post. Its about 1,500 employees handled more than 56 million parcels. This means an increase of 12 per cent or 6 million parcels compared to the strong 2009 year. “Through our reliability we were able to increase the number of parcels enormously“, Carl-Gerold Mende, CEO responsible for the parcel division of Post, comments the development. As a reason for this plus he referred to delivery quality and to the increasing online trade. More than 96 per cent of the parcels in universal service were delivered punctually at their recipients. In the business customer segment delivery rates were even higher. The enterprise is growing over-proportionately in this segment.
