Lifting and transport specialist Prangl from Brunn am Gebirge acquires new equipment at a total value of around EUR 30 million

The lifting and transport specialist Prangl starts a major investment program. To keep their reputation as a quality service provider the family company from Brunn/Gebirge in Lower Austria invests again into new equipment. They recently signed contracts about the acquisition of around 500 new work platforms and telescopic fork lifts at a total value of more than EUR 15 million. “We are at the beginning of the group’s renewal strategy for the complete fleet“, says managing director Mag. Christian Prangl.

Also the mobile cranes and heavy transport segments will see investments into new technology in the coming months, meaning the equipment will be adjusted to the changed market requirements. In total EUR 30 million will be invested.

Prangl wants to get a more profound position with this expansion and adjustment of its equipment. “We are seeing first positive signs, and we want to take as much as possible from this impetus“, announces Christian Prangl. In the first six months of the 2010/11 business year ending in July, turnover has risen 15 per cent compared to the previous year. The family enterprise Prangl has about 530 highly qualified employees at six branches in Austria, as well as at its locations in Germany, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia and Romania.
