DHL Express (Austria) starts up its new Vienna City Office

DHL Express (Austria) has entered the first stage of a package of measures to basically improve operating processes. At the end of February more than 60 employees from the segments customer service and distribution moved to the completely redesigned Vienna City Office at Wienerberg. Here options for dispatch and collection of express consignments will be available for customers from May.

The new City Office is part of a millions-investment program of DHL Express (Austria) in the year 2011. Also the other business departments at the company headquarters in Guntramsdorf will be relocated to redesigned offices. In addition the production site will be reconstructed and considerably expanded.

Apart from fitting in a high performance state-of-the-art sorting facility, the company will construct additional loading and unloading options for couriers on the company area in Guntramsdorf. In May 2011 the previously separated production sites in Vienna and Guntramsdorf will be joined at the company headquarters. “This results in a completely integrated production of all air and road based express consignments, related to considerable improvements of services for customers“, announces Country Manager Ralf Schweighöfer.
