Grimaldi Group provides new ro-ro service from Italy to Greece

Grimaldi Group to open a liner service from Brindisi, southern Italy, to Igoumenitsa and Patras on 11 April

With a new ro-ro liner service for the transportation of passengers, passenger cars and rolling cargo the Grimaldi Group (Naples) and its subsidiary Minoan Lines consolidate their leading market position in the trade between Italy and Greece (v.v.). The service operates with effect from 11 April 2012 three times per week and course between Brindisi, southern Italy, and the Greek stations Igoumenitsa and Patras. During the summer months to boost tourism, a weekly stop in Corfu is on the program.

The ro-so service of the Grimaldi Group is to start every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 19.30 in Brindisi to Greece. The ferry named "Sorrento leaves Greece in the opposite direction every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Per departure capacities are available for the carriage of 2,250 loading meters of rolling cargo, more than 800 passengers and 170 vehicles.
