Intercontainer Austria expands Southeastern Europe network

New regular service of Intercontainer Austria from Austria to Macedonia, Romania, Greece and Turkey

Intercontainer Austria starts new intermodal offer to Southeastern Europe. From 14 January 2011 the subsidiary of Rail Cargo Austria AG completes the schedule of daily trains from the Ruhr zone via Wels and Vienna to Budapest (BILK) by regular services from Austria to destinations in Turkey, Romania, Greece and Macedonia (v. v.).

On the route to Istanbul-Halkali three rotations per week will be on the schedule. The Romanian destinations Arad and Bucharest will be served twice per week. From mid-January a weekly link from Austria to Greece and Macedonia will be available.

„This strengthens our offensive strategy for intermodal transport to Southeastern Europe. Forwarding companies and industries can benefit from a regular, reliable rail connection from and to Southeastern Europe via Austria in a difficult time“, Intercontainer Austria informs.
