Pekaes builds a modern warehouse in Gdynia

Enhanced cooperation with the Sea Freight department: Investment in Gdynia marks the next stage in the growth strategy of Pekaes

Pekaes – one of largest logistics operators in Poland – has recently leased a modern high-bay warehouse in Gdynia. Enhanced cooperation with the Sea Freight department, proximity to the distribution zone and industrial zone, as well as neighbouring airport and bypass are just some of the many benefits that result from our new location.

The primary reason for selecting the new location was to increase load capacity in the domestic general cargo system and growth in the flow of goods from sea freight, resulting from increasing trade volume. This will lead to improved quality and efficiency of service, as well as enhanced capacity to serve a greater number of clients whose primary mode of goods transport is sea cargo.

„The investment in Gdynia is the next stage in our growth strategy, which consists in efficiency enhancements across the entire company. This includes offering our clients attractively-located, modern warehouse centres,“ says Arkadiusz Filipowski, a Member of the Management Board at Pekaes. „It is enough to mention that the warehouse is located in the immediate vicinity of the Baltic Container Terminal and the Gdynia Container Terminal.,” he adds.

The facility, with a usable area of 18,840m²  is adapted to conduct logistics operations involving acceptance, completion, storage and distribution of packaged highly value-added general freight, excluding unsafe loads. Pekaes has access to warehouse space totalling 2 x 2,600m² (distribution and logistics), composed of 9 docks, 5 gates and a 65-metre external ramp. Employment will be available for 35 people.
