Pekaes introduces daily LTL connection Poland – Austria

Logistics operator Pekaes has launched a daily service between Poland and Austria. This was possible thanks to more extensive cooperation with G. Englmayer Spedition GmbH. Austria is the next market – after Hungary, Romania and the Balkans – on which Pekaes cooperates with this international LTL partner.

Until last year Pekaes had three connections per week from Poland to Austria and two from Austria to Poland. Currently together with Englmayer Spedition the company is rapidly developing a daily LTL service in both directions.

“Thanks to the strong business alliance with Englmayer Spedition our clients on this important market for us will benefit from a high quality service. In addition to daily connections and 24/48-hour distribution in Austria they have online access to information about status of the shipments in this area,” says Marek Tkaczyk, International Network Director of Pekaes.

Pekaes offers international distribution of LTL shipments all over Europe thanks to close cooperation with 16 proven partners in 32 countries. The advantage of the new partner is not only its extensive experience on the Austrian market and throughout South-Eastern Europe but also its own distribution network. Englmayer Spedition has 19 own branches (5 of them located in Austria) and employs more than 500 persons. The company has been operating on the market since 1858 and has approximately 76,000 m2 of warehouse space. Its annual turnover totals more than EUR 120 million.

Pekaes Group is a leading logistics group that is composed of: Pekaes Sp. z o.o., Chemikals Sp. z o.o., and Spedycja Polska Spedcont. Pekaes Sp. z o.o. provides comprehensive customer services within the entire supply chain – it offers a full package of warehouse logistics services, domestic and international LTL distribution, domestic and international FTL, sea, and air freight forwarding, as well as bulk goods logistics and intermodal services.

Pekaes has one of the most effective networks of domestic distribution terminals, a network of rail container and cargo handling terminals in Poland, and a network of several foreign partners in all key European countries. The company employs almost 1,100 staff in 19 branches in Poland, two container terminals, one rail terminal and five logistics warehouses.
