Plans approved for 2 million sq ft logistics park in Rugby
Plans for a 2 million sq ft logistics park in the West Midlands secured approval from Rugby Borough Council during a virtual meeting on 16th September 2020.
Known as Symmetry Park Rugby, the proposed development will include associated landscaping, access and infrastructure works, including the provision of a significant (approximately one third) part of the South West Rugby Spine Network Road required as part of the South West Rugby allocation.
The Outline Application is submitted with all matters reserved other than access which will be detailed for the A45/M45 Junction up to, and including, the link to the crossing of the Northampton Lane byway on site.
A council document published ahead of the meeting added: “The benefits of the proposed development outweigh the factors against the proposals.
“The proposed development would comply with the development plan and no material considerations have been identified which indicate that the development should not be approved.
“Indeed, the proposal would result in a number of positive economic, social and environmental benefits.”
