Porath Customs Agents establish new subsidiary in Rotterdam

Porath Customs Agents offers optimised customs services to internationally operating companies now also in the Netherlands

The internationally operating customs service provider Porath Customs Agents based in Hamburg has opened a subsidiary in Europe’s biggest port – Rotterdam – in June 2014. Trained staff at the new location will centrally manage customs procedures for several member states and bundle them. Hence also internationally operating companies will be able to profit from optimised customs processes from one source also in the Netherlands.

With multilingual customs experts and global customs expertise Porath Customs Agents BV responds to the growing demand for professional customs management. “Centrally managed customs processes are particularly helpful if goods flows pass several of the 28 member states of the European Union“, says Thorsten Porath, managing associate of Porath Customs Agents. “No company can afford it if their goods get trapped somewhere at the customs control in the European Union, just because important data or documents are missing.“

With five offices in Germany, Poland and now in the Netherlands Porath Customs Agents covers the major European hubs in international trade. This means customers will no longer have to manage their processes with several service providers,“ explains Thorsten Porath. The enterprise provides consistently high quality standards also in the Netherlands. Rotterdam has the biggest transhipment volume of Europe’s seaports – making it the perfect location.

Porath Customs Agents has been developing international customs solutions from a single source for about 30 years. As an independent specialist with its own locations in Germany, Poland and the Netherlands as well as experienced partners the company offers its customers services in the following segments: customs handling, fiscal representation, customs and veterinary control, customs warehousing, sanction list checks and many more.
