Profits slip as Gist gears for growth

Gist’s operating profit fell to £9.1 million in 2017 from £17.5m the year before, while turnover was up from £416.7m to £437.3m.

In its annual results for the year to 31st December 2017, the company said it had invested heavily for growth. “This was demonstrated by opening several new sites and willing some exciting new customers.

“The key focus for 2018 is to consolidate these changes and build on the strong growth over recent years driving the performance of the Gist business forward.
