Prologis creating more warehouse capacity for Continental
Prologis, Inc., a global market leader in the logistics property industry, expands its logistics surface for the Independent Aftermarket division of the technology group Continental in Groß-Rohrheim, Hesse, to about 34,000 m², which is about 7,000 m² more than so far. Construction works started recently; completion is expected for early 2019.
The new logistics area will be used for picking and storage. It is equipped with narrow isle technology and a seperate storage area for small parts. The number of pallet slots will be increased from 32,400 to 44.550, the small parts area from 6,400 to more than 25,000.
From Groß-Rohrheim Continental will supply worldwide large scale retailers with car accessoires. They in turn deliver their goods to end customers, such as garages. From early 2019 Continental Aftermarket GmbH will use the new logistics area. Prologis will assume the property management.
