Prologis lets double unit at Hemel Hempstead

Workspace provider IWG, has signed a double lease for DC4 and DC5 adjoining properties at developer investor Prologis’ Prologis Park Hemel Hempstead scheme in the South east.

The deal sees the letting of warehouse space totalling 74,314 sq ft which will be used as the main UK distribution centre for the business, providing storage space and distribution services for all of IWG’s office furniture requirements, as well as being the base for its UK-based warehousing and back office support teams.

The facility  has 9m eaves and has six dock and two level access doors. It has space for 80 car and 3 HGVs. It has an EPC  A as well as BREEAM Very Good as well as 15 per cent roof light provision, rainwater harvesting and solar thermal hot water system.

With IWG signing the double lease, there is now just one unit remaining at the logistics park.

Paul Hanley of Prologis said: “The speed at which the units were leased shows that there is real appetite for well-connected, sustainable and community-focused logistics property in the South East.
