Quehenberger Logistics goes for Deichmann

Quehenberger Logistics distributes shoes of the Deichmann group in Austria and Slovenia and supplies also NKD branches in Croatia

With a new major contract and expansion of cooperation with existing customers Quehenberger Logistics underlines its competence as a provider of transport and logistics services in the retail segment. The global operating Deichmann group has recently selected the company as partner for distribution in Austria and Slovenia.

Key services for the shoe retail chain include order picking and distribution to a total of 184 stores. Storage of seasonal goods, return management and the logistics of recyclable materials are also part of the responsibilities of the logistics provider.

In parallel the textile discount store NKD and Quehenberger have extended their cooperation. In addition to the transportation of goods from the central warehouse in Bindlach, Germany, to Slovenia, the logistics company is now also supplying 21 branches in Croatia.

As medium-sized provider of transport management services, network- and contract logistics in Central and Eastern Europe, Quehenberger Logistics presently employs 2.120 people at 75 locations in 17 countries. By their own accounts the company with headquarters in Seewalchen near Salzburg operates the leading, area-wide general cargo network in Austria. Annual turnover 2012 was EUR 401 million.
