Raben Logistics expands capacity

Raben Logistics has opened a new warehouse at the depot in Würzburg/Reichenberg, expanding its capacities by 15%.

51 ramps instead of twelve create adequate conditions for fast and flexible response to customers‘ needs – even if transport volumes continue to increase.

A video surveillance system with 72 cameras allows for full track and trace of each shipment, and processes can be documented, analysed, and modified if required.

"Our depot in Wurzburg has been present in the market since 1937," said Raben Logistics‘ managing director, Wilfried Reiners. "So when we take under consideration that we have many years of experience in this area plus the fact that this region of Germany develops quite fast, we have made a decision that we need to have a new and more efficient cross-dock and offices in this location."

He added that the new building is similar to the company’s facility in Wuppertal.

This is Raben’s third investment within the last few months, but Reiners said it will not be the last. The company plans to start building a warehouse in Nürnberg within a few months, which will give the company 15,000 m² of warehouse space plus a cross-dock area of 7,500 m².
