Rail Cargo Logistics and Goldair Cargo form a joint venture
Joint enterprise of Rail Cargo Logistics and Goldair Cargo to continue the international freight forwarding operations of Express–Interfracht Hellas
The following merger was registered at the Austrian Federal Competition Authority on 27 November 2014 in Vienna: Foundation of a joint company based in Aspropyrgos, Athens (Greece) by Rail Cargo Logistics – Austria GmbH, Vienna (49% of the shares), and Goldair Cargo Societe Anonyme of International Transports and Logistics, Thessi Rykia, Apropyrgos, Greece (51% of the shares). The joint company will continue the forwarding/logistics service operations of Express-Interfracht Hellas S.A., a 100%-subsidiary of Rail Cargo Logistics – Austria GmbH, Vienna, by taking over qualified staff, etc.. The merger project affects the forwarding services including secondary operations.
Goldair cargo SA, a member of Goldair Group, is an international freight forwarding and 3PL logistics specialist. The company was founded in 1987 and today owns 75.000 sq.m. of covered warehouses and manages some 35 million pickings annually, which delivers throughout Greece and neighbouring countries including Cyprus.
