Rase Distribution invests £930,000 in its fleet

Lincoln based logistics firm Rase Distribution has invested £930,000 into vehicles and trailers to expand its fleet at its depot on the former RAF Wickenby Airfield.

Joining the firm’s fleet of 55 vehicles are: four Volvo 44-tonne tractor units, three 26-tonne Scania curtainsiders with cantilever tail lifts, one 12-tonne DAF curtainsider and ten Lawrence David curtainside trailers. All vehicles are Euro 6 compliant and meet the latest emission requirements.

Rase’s primary concern is “operating a fleet that maximises our ‘up-time’,” said Geoff Hill, director at Rase Distribution. “However, it’s become clear in recent years that the industry is facing a recruitment challenge. In order to attract the best drivers, we need to offer market leading equipment and infrastructure.”
