RCA launches its new U.N. Rail-Austria-Shuttle
Rail Cargo Group expands intermodal transport offer to and from Turkish ports
Rail Cargo Group and their longstanding partner, the Turkish ferry operator U.N. Ro-Ro İşletmeleri A.Ş., offer a joint Sea-Rail-Product since recently. The U.N. Rail-Austria-Shuttle is operated between several Turkish ports and diverse destinations in Europe, deploying the innovative trailer handling (ISU).
As part of the intermodal service Istanbul/Mersin – Trieste – Wels, the first shuttle between Trieste and Wels was operated by the end of November. The ISU allows also carrying non craneable semitrailers and megatrailers on the rail. Initially three weekly departures are scheduled; later on 1 to 2 daily departures shall be operated.
