AirBridgeCargo extends agreements with Fraport; Dachser assumes contract logistics activities for Bacardi Deutschland; Silverstone Auctions appoints Ontime for specialist vehicle and memorabilia deliveries.
AirBridgeCargo Airlines has extended its agreement with Fraport Cargo Services (FCS) for cargo handling at Frankfurt/Main Airport until 2016, and has also extended its ground handling operations contract with Fraport Ground Services to 2016.
AirBridgeCargo Airlines‘ Boeing 747 freighters connect Frankfurt/Main with Moscow fifteen times per week, with connecting flights offered from its hubs at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo airports to destinations including Almaty, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Seoul and Tokyo.
Bacardi Deutschland has consolidated its logistics activities and appointed Dachser to provide Germany-wide warehousing and transport services.
The company’s Gersthofen location near Augsburg, where Dachser already operates for Bacardi, has become the central warehouse for the whole of Germany. The expansion of business involves Dachser assuming other contract logistics activities that were previously performed by a different logistics provider.
From Gersthofen, more than 1,000 consignees across the country are supplied with Bacardi’s full product portfolio. The warehouse provides 8,500 pallet spaces earmarked for Bacardi products, and an area of around 1,000 m² is dedicated to value added services.
Dachser manages a number of multi-user warehouses, and operates on behalf of a number of leading wine and spirits merchants.
Silverstone Auctions has selected Ontime Automotive’s Specialist Transport Division as its exclusive supplier for specialist vehicle and memorabilia deliveries to its auction house located in the new building, the ‘Wing‘.
Silverstone Auctions was recently set up to auction classic cars, modern supercars, competition cars, modern and historic motorcycles and automotive memorabilia.
Ontime has already transported motorbikes and biking memorabilia to the Moto GP Sale in June, and will deliver a number of classic cars, modern super cars, competition cars and ‘automobilia‘ to the Silverstone Classic Sale on July 23rd – an auction that ties in with the Silverstone Classic racing event. The Walter Hayes Sale on November 4th will feature more classic, super and competition cars as well as ‘automobilia‘.
