Michelin renews warehousing and distribution agreement with CEVA in Thailand; Rhys Davies provides logistics services to Appleton Papers; House of Fraser awards five-year contract to DHL.

CEVA Logistics has renewed its partnership with Michelin Thailand for another three years, and will continue to manage the customer’s Thailand logistics operations, including the inbound movement of tyres from Michelin’s production plants into warehouse facilities in three main locations across Thailand: Laemchabang, Nongkea and Nongree.

CEVA manages third-party sub-contractors and transport providers, as well as transportation planning and delivery control activities. CEVA provides Network Engineering, full KPI reporting and POD management to ensure that Michelin’s targets are met. CEVA’s IT solutions provide Michelin with supply chain visibility from point of collection to point of delivery.

CEVA will also manage the reverse logistics for Michelin.

CEVA also provides Michelin with services for cross-border transportation to and from Malaysia.

Rhys Davies Freight Logistics is providing America’s largest manufacturer of thermal and security paper with UK warehousing and daily delivery services across the country.

Wisconsin, US-based Appleton Papers ships its UK product range to Rhys Davies‘ warehouse ready for delivery to customers throughout the UK. Orders received by the US factory are sent to Rhys Davies via the Internet and are picked and delivered the following day.

The logistics provider’s Empirica warehouse management system gives managers at Appleton’s headquarters full visibility of stock at all times.

House of Fraser has awarded DHL Supply Chain a new five-year contract worth more than £85 million, continuing the seven-year partnership between the two companies.

The new facility provides House of Fraser with the capacity to support its ambitious growth plans over the next few years and will predominantly focus on store replenishment.

DHL Supply Chain’s Fashion division will continue to support House of Fraser’s growth by providing an end-to-end supply chain management service for its stores from a newly refurbished 245,000 sq.ft warehousing facility in Wellingborough, Northants. The Wellingborough site, which is close to House of Fraser’s existing UK facility, will be fully operational this month, in time for the start of the Christmas peak period.

The existing Milton Keynes site will be used exclusively to fulfi House of Fraser’s online offering.

House of Fraser has 61 store locations across the UK and Ireland, and transactional website services 32 countries around the world.
