Reder Transporte modernise their fleet for distribution

A total of 16 Mercedes-Benz Atego 1524s were added to the fleet of Reder Transporte. The transport company from Hörsching near Linz uses state-of-the-art vehicle technology in distribution traffic and operates the Atego across Austria.

For Harald and Günther Reder as managing directors of Reder Transporte, the decisive factor for the purchase of these trucks was the ergonomics and comfort of the vehicles: “The drivers are extremely satisfied with the Mercedes-Benz Atego – and this is important to us.”

Reder Transporte is a fifth generation family business founded in 1903. Today, the Reder Group owns three brands: Reder Transporte KG, Erro Spedition- und Handelsgesellschaft mbH and Tazytrans Logistik GmbH in Ennsbach, Lower Austria. Reder currently manages 235 trucks, 6,000 m² of storage space and employs more than 400 people.

The range of services is wide: In addition to classic transport services in local and long-distance transport, the company provides also works transport and milk collection logistics. The satisfaction of the employees plays a central role. Great emphasis is placed on qualification and training, and the in-house Reder Driver Academy has been set up for this purpose.

The Mercedes-Benz Atego 1524 with six-cylinder engines OM 936 have a power output of 175 kW (238 hp) and a displacement of 7.7 liters. The powerfully designed Euro VI engine is fuel-efficient and has long service intervals. The just delivered Atego with tail lift and tarpaulin structure are among other things in use for electrical wholesalers. The vehicles distribute electrical equipment and devices to retailers and construction sites in Upper Austria.
