Restrictions for heavy truck transport on the A13-motorway

First stage of the renovation of the Lueg-bridge on the Brennerautobahn A13 (Tyrol/Austria) to start on Monday, 16 March 2015

Due to construction works to renovate the Lueg-bridge on the A13-motorway, between the junctions Nösslach and Brennersee (A13, km 30,516 – 33,195), vehicles with a gross weight of more than 44 tonnes will not be allowed to drive on the Brennerautobahn in both directions, from 16 March to 26 March 2015 and 13 April to 23 April 2015 expectedly.

In addition, on the weekends 21/22 March and 18/19 April 2015, from 4 pm and to about 6 am all vehicles over 7.5 tonnes will be stopped and must be parked in the lay-bys – buses can dodge over the Brenner main road. Depending on the weather conditions postponements may arise in the short term.

In addition, it was agreed that the rolling roads in both directions will proved additional capacity in the respective periods. During the construction a restriction of 4.2 meters of total width applies for the direction to Italy.
