Rhenus Home Delivery opens 55,000 sq ft DC in Bedfordshire

Rhenus Home Delivery UK has opened a 55,000 sq ft purpose-built distribution centre in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire.

Vinny Riley, Managing Director of Rhenus Home Delivery UK, said “We analyse highly complex logistics operations and optimise them using individual solutions that cover sourcing, production and distribution. We also look ahead at what is happening in the industry, which helps our customers with logistical operations, so we can make an important contribution for tomorrow.

“Not only do we run a two-man home delivery service, we also find solutions for a wide variety of different sectors along the complete supply chain. These include multimodal transport operations, warehousing, customs clearance, as well as innovative value-added services.”

Rhenus operates a network of two-man home delivery teams across Europe. In September 2019 it acquired warehousing, fulfilment and European express specialists PSL Group. In November 2019 it was appointed sole carrier for all two-man home delivery operations at furniture retailer Swoon.
