Roland Spedition: Premiere on the Wilhelmshaven-Wolfurt route

First container train from Wilhelmshaven to western Austria directed by Roland Spedition GmbH arrived in Wolfurt

Under the direction of Roland Spedition a container train with 92 TEU started its journey from Wilhelmshaven to Wolfurt in Vorarlberg on behalf of a well-known shipowner on November 23. The train was run as auxiliary train, another departure is scheduled for next week. Traction was carried out by a private railway company, with whom they have been entertaining a reliable partnership for years. Arrival at the terminal in Wolfurt on Monday went according to plan.

As additional offer on part of Roland Spedition a second rotation will will be operated to and from Graz in the weeks 49, 50 and 51, respectively. With this product shipments are carried from Upper Austria to Koper or from Styria to Hamburg and Bremerhaven.

Founded in 1982, Roland Spedition forwards about 80,000 shipments/125.000 TEU annually and is by its own account the largest private and independent container operator in Austria. The family enterprise employs 40 staff at its offices in Schwechat and Salzburg. Christian Gutjahr and Nikolaus Hirnschall are managing directors and shareholders.
