Romanian Tibbett Logistics receives AEO Certification

AEO Certification brings Tibbett Logistics‘ Romanian customers simplified customs controls and less physical goods inspections

Romania’s largest privately owned contract logistics specialist, Tibbett Logistics – part of UK-based Keswick Enterprises Group Ltd – announced in a press release that it had been awarded full AEO certification. The highest AEOF (‚Authorised Economic Operator – Full‘) status was awarded following a thorough audit of all the company’s locations.

This certification means that Tibbett Logistics can now offer its customers simplified customs procedures, priority customs clearance, less physical checks of goods and more. A total of 10 locations throughout the country were inspected with regard to customs as well as security procedures and practices. These included automotive warehousing and goods transport operations, retail and FMCG logistics operations, multi-user and e-commerce locations, port operations, other locations for distribution and forwarding operations, block train operations as well as the company’s intermodal terminal in Bucharest – which handles imports and exports by rail from/to Turkey, Asia, etc.

„When we began our intermodal operations to offer our customers a smoother supply chain, we set up a customs office in 2010 to help eliminate waste and minimise delays as well as unnecessary costs relating to import/export procedures. AEO Certification, which is internationally recognised, is an important step towards reaching this goal but is also confirmation of the dependability of our management and our procedures and security processes“, explained Tibbett Logistics CEO, David Goldsborough.

Tibbett Logistics provides intermodal logistics and comprehensive supply chain management services for the automotive, textile, retail and other FMCG sectors throughout Romania and elsewhere in South-East Europe. The company currently manages around 80,000 m² of warehouses in Romania and operates its own intermodal rail wagons.
