Rudolph & Hellmann Automotive opens and operates a new spare parts distribution centre for the automotive manufacturer Ford in Dubai
Rudolph & Hellmann Automotive (RHA) announces having won another major order. The enterprise is to operate the new Parts Distribution Center of Ford Motor Company in Dubai (United Arab Emirates). The aim is to centrally supply the region Middle East with Ford spare and service parts. The 29,500 m² logistics centre in the Jebel Ali Free Zone will provide about 50,000 parts and employ between 50 and 100 commercial and industrial staff. Start of distribution is scheduled for the second half of the year 2011. In the joint venture Rudolph & Hellmann Automotive (RHA) the Rudolph Logistik group, Baunatal, and Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, Dubai, are merging their competences in the segments of international automotive logistics. RHA manages warehousing and order-picking on behalf of the Ford Parts Distribution Center; Hellmann Worldwide Logistics organises the distribution of the parts in the region. The new Parts Distribution Center will be equipped with a multitier rack system and pallet shelves. The goods are coming in bundled as sea or air freight from Ford’s central warehouses in North America, Europe and Asia. Traders in eleven countries in the region Middle East are able to order spare parts, ranging from car body parts to plugs.
