Sager Group opens logistics hall with railway siding in Peggau

In the presence of numerous guests, the Sager Group opened a new logistics hall with a railway siding in Peggau (Styria) on 18 January. The property with 10,000 m² floor space offers the industry new storage facilities in the economic region in the north of Graz. Direct links to the major road and rail network provide connections to Europe’s economic centers.

Mayr-Melnhof Karton is the main tenant of the new logistics hall. The manufacturer of cardboard packaging, which can be further processed into food packaging, has only limited storage space at its production site in Frohnleiten. In the first stage, the new building in Peggau will relieve the dispatch logistics unit. The finished goods are transported by rail to Peggau, where they are put into interim storage, and shipped worldwide subsequently.

In the medium term, the construction of two additional warehouses with a capacity for 15,000 tonnes of waste paper is planned on the 10 hectare site.
