Semple to retire as RHA policy director

Jack Semple is to retire as policy director at the Road Haulage Association in July.

RHA chief executive Richard Burnett said: “We’ll be sorry to see Jack leave us and wish him all the best in a long and a happy retirement. He leaves behind a big pair of shoes to fill.”

Rod McKenzie, currently director of marketing and communications, will take on the role of director of policy & public affairs, incorporating his current role.

Reporting to McKenzie, Duncan Buchanan takes on the new role of policy director, dealing with the day to day detail of RHA policy. Duncan joined the RHA from the Department for Transport where he had been led operator licensing and roadworthiness policy for several years.
