DB Group to establish central accounting for Europe in Bucharest

600 jobs until the end of 2018: Accounting for all European DB branches outside Germany will be concentrated in Bucharest

Deutsche Bahn has inaugurated its central accounting location for Europe in Bucharest on 9 March. In the first stage about 160 employees will be working on the accounting for eight countries in Bucharest until the end of 2015. This change for all the 35 countries outside Germany shall be completed with 600 employees by the end of 2018. Accounting for the German DB branches will be concentrated in Berlin.

The employees will be working in a new building with modern working places in the Bucharest business district of Pipera. It is located close Es to the city centre and the airport, and has direct access to underground, railway and bus. One part of the building was completed in 2014, the other is to be completed in early 2017.

Apart from Germany Deutsche Bahn is operating in 35 European countries.

DB Schenker Rail organises cargo transport on the rail, DB Schenker Logistics controls logistics for the segments land transport, sea freight, air freight and contract logistics. DB Arriva is a subsidiary of DB for regional transport by buses and trains in 14 European countries.
