Shipping company ČSPL becomes part of Rhenus PartnerShip

Rhenus PartnerShip, specialist in inland navigation, has taken over the inland shipping company ČSPL, a.s. domiciled in Děčín, from the ARGO Group on November 5. The purchase is subject to the approval of the competent authorities.

The services offered by ČSPL, a.s. include transport of bulk goods, containers and project cargo on all European waterways, freight forwarding and logistics services in the field of inland waterway and sea transport, combined transport as well as repairs of vessels and ship systems.

“With the acquisition of ČSPL, a.s. we want to further expand our presence on the European waterways. The company with its more than 30 ships and many qualified employees fits very well with our existing activities,” Thomas Maassen, spokesman for the management of Rhenus PartnerShip, explains the takeover.

The inland shipping company ČSPL, a.s. focuses on inland ports in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and France. Founded in 1922, the company has been part of the ARGO Group since 2002.
