Siemens opens digital experience centre

Siemens has opened a fully refurbished digital experience centre in Manchester to demonstrate to its industrial customers how they can utilise digital technologies.

The demonstration centre uses ‘digital twin’ simulation technology to showcase fully operational examples of transformative digital technologies to show users how they can enhance productivity, optimise performance, support flexible manufacturing objectives, and set up new business models.

“Digitalisation is going to be the great enabler when it comes to transforming the UK’s industrial landscape,” said Siemens factory automation specialists team leader James Cottle. “It is now possible for businesses to come to Manchester and assess new digital technologies in a proactive and practical way before they have to commit any expenditure or resource.”
