Small unit scheme gets go ahead in Crewe

Total Developments has been granted planning permission to build a 165,000 sq ft industrial and logistics scheme in Crewe by Cheshire east Council.

The scheme will consist of five units ranging in size from 15,000 sq ft to 45,000 sq ft on a 9.3-acre site off University Way. The first phase will deliver 120,000 sq ft.

Legat Owen are marketing the scheme.

Matt Pochin, director at Legat Owen, said: “Crewe is in desperate need of modern, high-quality industrial units under 50,000 sq ft.

“We have received incredibly high level of interest in this scheme and already have terms agreed for one pre-sale and one pre-let. With practical completion scheduled for spring 2018, we expect all of these units to be taken.”

The scheme had previously been recommended for approval by planning officers.
