Spec development to start in Bradford

Commercial Development Partners is due to start the speculative development of two warehouses in Bradford at the end of June.

Construction at Thornbury Industrial Park, a 25-acre development on Woodhall Road, off Gain Lane, to the east of Bradford city centre, will see two unit of 42,200 sq ft and 33,200 sq ft.

The units will be high quality and self-contained and are due for completion in early 2021.

The remainder of the site, which is one of the largest in the area allocated to be developed for industrial uses, will be able to accommodate individual units up to 120,000 sq ft in size on a build to suit basis.

JLL and Carter Towler have been appointed joint marketing agents.

Ian Greenwood, managing director of Leeds-based Carter Towler, said: “Encouragingly given the situation with the pandemic, we are receiving good levels of interest in both the two speculative units and the remainder of the site on a build to suit basis.  There is a high degree of resilience within the industrial and logistics sectors which we believe will continue to drive demand resulting in diminishing availability over the short to medium term at Thornbury Industrial Park”.

The 24th Supply Chain Excellence Awards, with new categories for 2020 – including the Warehouse Initiative Award – will take place on 12 November. For more information, including how to enter and sponsorship opportunities, contact daniel.jessop@akabomedia.co.uk
