Cooperation of Panalpina Austria and G. Englmayer moves both companies’ core competences into the spotlight
 
Panalpina Austria and the forwarding company G. Englmayer with headquarters in Wels, Upper Austria, are planning a tight cooperation. Their objective is to ideally use both partners’ core competences and increase quality for customers in a sustainable way. In a joint press release from September 25, the two companies provided the first details about the planned strategic cooperation.
 
Accordingly, the Austrian branch of Panalpina will integrate their entire pre- and oncarriage operations in the air and ocean freight segment (LCL) into the nationale netzwork of Englmayer. This includes far distance traffic to and from customers, as well as transports linking the Austrian hubs of the forwarding company. This means the frequency between the locations will increase, and transit time will be improved. Locations that have so far been served two times per week will be called several times per day in the future. Englmayer in turn will use the global netzwork and the core competences of Panalpina for their air and ocean shipments. In addition they plan to cooperate in land transport to the CIS.
