Norfolkline creates direct contact to German-speaking clients

The Dutch ferry shipping company Norfolkline intensifies its contacts to German-speaking customers. In Greater Frankfurt a new office was opened to further develop business relations. “On the one hand Frankfurt is basically quite interessting as a centre of finance and industry, and on the other hand our company has already a customer base in this region“, Dick van Herwaarden, General Manager Sales at Norfolkline Logistics, explains the motives for the selected location.

First, the new office shall establish an even more direct contact to customers in Germany. It shall also find and use new opportunities in the market to support the existing accompanied and unaccompanied transports of the Norfolkline Continent Region in Vlaardingen and Brügge“, says Dick van Herwaarden.

Norfolkline operates ferry traffics on routes from France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Denmark to England, Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland. The fleet, consisting of 18 vessels, has transportes 2.4 million passengers, around 700,000 cars and 1.3 million trailers last year. Being a member of the A.P. Moller Maersk Group the company employes 2,200 persons in 38 offices in 12 countries and generated a turnover of exactly EUR 1.069 billion in 2008.
