Suffolk spec shed to break ground next month

Jaynic is set to break ground on its 47,677ft2 SP47 warehouse at its two million ft2 Suffolk Park scheme in Bury St Edmunds in April following the appointment of Parkway Construction MK as main contractor.

The building is expected to reach practical completion in December 2022.

“There is little or no supply of warehouse space coming out of the ground in the region and given the considerable demand from occupiers we are confident that we will find an occupier for the building during the construction phase,” said Ben Oughton, Development Director.

SP47 follows on from SP160, also being built by Parkway, where construction is well underway for a 160,000ft2 speculative warehouse and Jaynic is currently in negotiations with potential occupiers for the building.

Once these two buildings are completed there will be just 12.5 acres remaining at Suffolk Park for development.

Joint letting agents are Hazells, Savills and Bidwells.
