Construction set to start for Welsh mid-box scheme

Trebor Developments and partner Maple Grove Developments will start construction on a 46,242ft2 speculative mid-box warehouse in South Wales following the appointment of contractor Andrew Scott in May this year.

The property is located at Pencoed Bridgend, off Junction 35 of the M4 Motorway, on Pencoed Technology Park and will be ready for occupation on the first quarter of 2023.

The scheme benefits from grant funding provided by Welsh Government and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and will provide much needed quality accommodation in South Wales.

“It has taken a long period to acquire this site and finalise the grant funding, but we are now ready to deliver and the site location is excellent, being partway between Swansea and Cardiff,” said Bob Tattrie, Managing Partner at Trebor Developments.

“We remain very active in the South Wales market and this latest speculative industrial unit is one of very few such developments being delivered in 2022/2023.  We expect strong occupier interest.”

Joint letting agents are Knight Frank and DLP Surveyors.
