Supply chain workers crucial to vaccination programme to receive jabs

The UK Government has recognised supply chain employees as key workers, and as such, will be offered the Covid-19 vaccine in the next few days.

The vaccination programme will help to protect continuity of the supply chain to help ensure flow of Covid-19 vaccines throughout the UK.

The government has recognised employees throughout the supply chain as “irreplaceable”, and will therefore be offering up to 2,000 working in such roles, the opportunity to have the vaccine.

Those eligible include staff working for Pfizer and AstraZeneca involved in specialist UK roles, such as those making the vaccine substance, working on fill and finish and batch testing, as well as those involved in end-to-end coordination, who are responsible for the final mile delivery of the vaccine.
