Surfair rebrands and targets expansion

Surfair, the logistics provider based at Woodville in Derbyshire, has revamped its corporate identity in what it describes as a subtle rebrand that defines a big change in business focus.

The company will now be called Surfair Logistics rather than Surfair Global Logistics.

“We have been trying to be all things to all people,” said Surfair managing director Paul Cannon. “We’ve been handling container shipments from the other side of the world at the same time as parcel deliveries for the other side of the Midlands. We are now concentrating on the areas where we are achieving most significant business growth.”

“Our business strengths are UK, all Ireland, and Europe. Surfair operates from a 50,000 sq ft Midlands gateway hub, and new coastal hub depot has just been established at Immingham to provide improved European links.

The company anticipates doubling the capacity of its facilities in the Midlands to prepare for the additional demand for its services.

“Immingham is an important development for us”, said Cannon. “It’s going to strengthen our links with the east coast freight ports and will assist us to grow our inbound European business significantly, hence the need to expand our Woodville operations.”

The rebrand will see a new vehicle fleet livery, new web site, and new promotional activity.
