Thai Airways celebrate their comeback to Vienna

Thai Airways will launch a new regular service of four weekly flights between Vienna and the Thai capital of Bangkok starting on November 16, 2017. A Boeing B777-200ER will take off on the Vienna-Bangkok route every Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

The TG937 flight from Vienna will depart at 1:30 p.m. and arrive in the Thai capital at 5:20 a.m. local time. The return flight TG936 will leave Bangkok at 1:30 a.m. and land at 7 a.m. local time in Vienna.

Jesada Chandrema, Regional Director Europe Thai Airways since the start of this year: „We can see potential from Central Europe and in particular the Austrian market, and we are glad to partner with the Vienna Airport who supports our route policy. At our hub in Bangkok we can offer flights to holiday destinations within Thailand as well as many places in Asia, Australia and Nee Zealand.” Apart from Bangkok Thai Airways’ route network includes destinations across the globe in 33 countries, including all major Asia-Pacific destinations.

Thai Airways started flying to destinations in Asia in 1960. It already served Vienna on a regular basis in the period 1988 to 1993. At present Thai Airways boasts a fleet of 96 aircraft. The route network not only includes Bangkok but twelve destinations in Thailand and more than 70 destinations across the globe.
