The Delivery Group snaps up Mountpark warehouse

E-commerce and specialist distribution company The Delivery Group has taken Mountpark’s 137,865 sq ft speculative warehouse at Mountpark Warrington Omega for a specialist mail hub.

James Wilkins, MD of The Delivery Group , said: “The Delivery Group handles over a billion items a year and as we continue to grow, this new distribution hub will help us to handle increasing demand for our services both nationally and internationally.”

“We needed to get this new operation up and running in a short timescale and Mountpark has been very helpful in accommodating us.”

The facility is one of four units, totalling 757,555 sq ft, which Mountpark funded and worked in partnership with Omega Warrington Ltd and Homes England to build speculatively at its Warrington Omega development.  The first unit of 346,153 sq ft was let to Royal Mail in 2018 before construction had completed.

Located at J8 M62, Mountpark Warrington Omega is just 3 miles from the M6/M62 interchange and midway between Manchester and Liverpool, providing access to a population of 2.5 million within a 30 minute drive time.
