The Hi-Tech Supply Chain Executive Toolbox Workshop – What You Need, What You Don’t

In small groups, conference delegates discussed the ‘Do’s and Don’ts’ of IT, KPIs, Process and Organisation.
 
At this year’s Hi-tech and Electronics Supply Chain Summit, we featured a workshop highlighting the ‘Do’s and Don’ts of key Supply Chain Topics: KPIs, Process, Organization and IT.
 
Delegates were divided into small groups to discuss each of the topics, rotating responses between each group so that all groups had a chance to respond to each topic. The Delegates then recorded their responses on sheets of paper on their tables allowing each rotating group to view the points raised by each group.
 
While many of the ‘Dos’ reflected a need for transparency, keeping things simple and providing proper training for each of the 4, many of the ‘don’t’ responses reflected the need to avoid overcomplication and ambiguity. Interestingly, especially with regards to KPIs and IT, many of the ‘Dos’ and ‘Don’ts’ were questions rather than a list. This reflects the challenging nature of IT and KPIs, and the in-depth debate between delegate groups during the workshop.
