The „young generation“ moves to the top level of Schachinger Logistik

New shareholder structure: Schachinger Logistik in Hörsching has just been transferred from the second to the third generation

Schachinger Logistik have been dedicating the past days to two special happenings: First, the corporate group headquartered in Hörsching near Linz is celebrating its 75th anniversary this month. Second, son Max Schachinger has been appointed managing associate of Schachinger Logistik Holding. Dr. Max Schachinger will take over the position as the chairman of the advisory board of the holding company.

From July 2014 Max Schachhinger junior is holding 51 per cent of the share capital as the managing majority shareholder. Max Schachinger senior will still be holding 25.1 per cent of the shares (for strategically important decisions). Daugther Heidi is holding 23.9 per cent as a member of the board and the advisory board of the holding.

Since the middle of the years 2000, the third generation – Max Schachinger and Heidi Barker-Schachinger as well as Peter Overkamp – has been integrated into the management team of Schachinger Logistik Holding. Max Schachinger senior sees his heritage in goods hands with this associate, advisory board and management model, and has big trust in his son and the third generation.

In its latest history Schachinger Logistik has evolved into a specialist for innovative industry logistics in Austria and the close CEE countries. In this role the family enterprise offers customised solutions for the segments of transport, storage (including value added services), distribution, IT & communication, based on high value warehouses with more than 200,000 pallet slots. The about 800 employees at 15 locations in Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia and Croatia have lately generated EUR 181 million in annual turnover.
