TNT Innight Austria assumes additional tasks for Bosch

Bosch Automotive Aftermarket receives TNT Innight’s value added services for spare parts reprocessing

The automotive division of Robert Bosch GmbH is to enhance its longstanding cooperation with TNT Innight Austria by another task. Since May 2010 the after sales logistics specialist attends also to logistics processes related to “remanufacturing“ (use of recycled parts of vehicles). “We are very glad to be able of carrying out this high quality value added service for our customer from the automotive industry“, TNT Innight Austria Manager Thomas Bauer comments on the expansion of the cooperation.

Robert Bosch GmbH and TNT Innight Austria have jointly installed scanning stations specially designed for this purpose. This is where used parts (e.g.: engine starters, generators or fuel injection pumps) are first optically tested for damages or missing components. Then they are registered and pre-sorted on the basis of information from Bosch’s returns system. Afterwards defect old parts are industrially reprocessed in the Bosch plant in Göttingen. Every month about 4,000 parts are identified, checked and sorted in Austria.

TNT Innight Austria is specialising in delivery of time-sensitive consignments before 8 am. Moreover they offer various value-added logistics services like returns handling, SWAP services and warehousing to optimise customers’ after sales logistics. The subsidiary of the Dutch TNT group has 45 employees who handle more than 600,000 consignments per year.
