Toll Global Forwarding appoints new Regional MD
Hakan Bicil now new RMD Europe and Middle East Toll Global Forwarding (TGF) – the forwarding and logistics arm of major Australian public company Toll Holdings – has appointed Hakan Bicil as its new Regional Managing Director – Europe and Middle East. He replaces John Gomes, who is retiring from full-time work but will retain a consultancy role in the business. Bicil’s 17-year career in freight has included a variety of sales and operational posts with Schenker and Kuehne and Nagel, most recently as the latter’s Senior VP Global Business Development. In his new position, Bicil will be responsible for further developing TGF’s EME business – which it acquired with the 2008 takeover of BALtrans – through a programme of organic growth, service expansion and acquisition.
